Educational Qualification and Experience:

Associate Professor

For General Disciplines:

  • MBBS
  • post graduate qualification e.g MD /MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline.

For Non-Medical Candidates:

  • a post graduate qualification i.e Masters Degree in the concerned subject or allied discipline;
  • Doctorate degree from a recognized University in the respective subject or allied discipline

Experience:

  • Four years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the concerned specialty in a recognized medical college.
  • Two research publications in indexed journals in the concerned specialty during the period of Assistant Professor

Assistant Professor

For General Disciplines:

  • MBBS
  • post graduate qualification e.g MD /MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline.

For Non-Medical Candidates:

  • a post graduate qualification i.e Masters Degree in the concerned subject or allied discipline;
  • Doctorate degree from a recognized University in the respective subject or allied discipline

Experience:

  • 3 years experience (For further details refer notification)

Senior Resident

  • MS/MD Degree in concerned specialty from recognized medical college.

Note: Candidates who have already completed 3 Senior Resident Scheme in any Government/ESIC institute are not eligible to apply for the post of Senior Resident. No Private Practice is allowed during the tenure of service in ESIC.

How to Apply for ESIC Karnataka SR & Teaching Faculty Recruitment:

  1. Candidate can walk-in and register for interview from 8:00 AM to 09:30 AM on their respective days. Interview will commence at 10:00 AM.
  2. Application shall be available at the Medical College building.
  3. Candidates should produce all the original documents in respect of all the parameters filled in the form during scrutiny on the day of Walk-in-Interview.
  4. Please bring all following relevant Original certificates and their self attested photocopies (1 sets), 2 copies of passport size photographs and the relevant certificates issued by the competent authority in the form prescribed by Government of India, Department of Personnel & Training for consideration of reservation to the reserved candidates.

About ESIC:

The promulgation of Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948(ESI Act), by the Parliament was the first major legislation on social Security for workers in independent India. It was a time when the industry was still in a nascent stage and the country was heavily dependent on an assortment of imported goods from the developed or fast developing countries. The deployment of manpower in manufacturing processes was limited to a few select industries such as jute, textile, chemicals etc. The legislation on creation and development of a fool proof multi-dimensional Social Security system, when the country’s economy was in a very fledgling state was obviously a remarkable gesture towards the socio economic amelioration of a workface though limited in number and geographic distribution. India, notwithstanding, thus, took the lead in providing organized social protection to the working class through statutory provisions.
