Age limit (as on 01.01.2019):

  • Minimum Age: 18 years

Educational Qualification and Experience:

Superintendent Home

  • Master’s degree in any of the Social Science subjects viz Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Economics or Anthropology from a recognized university or institution.

Deputy Director,Industrial Training/Deputy Apprenticeship Advisor /Principal (Senior Scale)

  • First Class Master’s Degree in Engineering Or Technology in any discipline
  • Five years practical Or professional or teaching experience on a responsible administrative or technical Group-B post in a Government.

Technical Assistants

  • Master’s degree (with at least fifty per cent marks) in Economics or Mathematics or Agriculture Economics or Commerce with Statistics as one of the papers or Master’s degree (with at least fifty per cent marks).
  • Provided that preference should be given to a person having one year experience in collection, compilation and analysis of Statistical data in a Government on similar post OR
  • Master’s degree (with less than 50 percent marks)in Economics or Mathematics or Agriculture Economics or Commerce with Statistics as one of the papers or Master’s degree (with less than 50 percent marks) and
  • Should have three year experience in collection, compilation and analysis of Statistical data in a Government on similar post.

Research Officer

  • 2nd class Master’s Degree in Economics or Mathematics or Agriculture Economics or Commerce or Statistics from a recognized University. However, in case of Master degree in Economics or Mathematics or Agriculture Economics or Commerce, passing Statistics as one of the Papers shall be mandatory.
  • Should have at least two year experience in Economics Planning or Development appraisal or Evaluation or Monitoring projects or programmes of Development compilation or research work in Applied Economics or Statistics or in Designing and Supervising Socioeconomics surveys in a State or Central Government OR
  • Master’s degree in Economics or Mathematics or Agriculture Economics or Commerce or Statistics from a recognized University. However, in case of Master degree in Economics or Mathematics or Agriculture Economics or Commerce, passing Statistics as one of the Papers shall be mandatory.
  • Should have at least five year experience in Economics Planning or Development appraisal or Evaluation or Monitoring of projects or programmes of Development compilation or research work in Applied Economics or Statistics or in Designing and Supervising Socio-economic survey in a State or Central Government.

Assistant Town Planner

  • Should Possess Masters Degree in Town and Country Planning or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution making the holder eligible for associate membership of the Institute of Town Planners (India).

How to Apply for PPSC Assistant Town Planner Recruitment:

  1. Fill Online Application Form.
  2. Deposit the Application Fee By using the print out of system generated Bank Challan Form.
  3. The Candidate should go to any branch of State Bank of India and deposit his/her Application fees as mentioned on the Challan Form only after a gap of one working day from the date of submitting the Online Application Form and Challan generation.
  4. Print the submitted Application Form
  5. Candidate can login and access his/her submitted Application form only after a gap of one working day From the date of depositing the application fee in any Branch of SBI. (One day shall be utilized by Bank for fee reconciliation and updating of record.)

Joint public service commission, the precursor of the punjab public service commission, with its writ running from the khyber pass to the jamuna near delhi, was born at lahore on may 1,1937. In the wake of the partition, the punjab public service commission resurged in february, 1948, at shimla with its revised jurisdiction extending over the then province of east punjab. following the merger of the states of punjab and pepsu, it shifted to patiala on nov 1st,1956. on 1st nov 1966, its territorial jurisdiction again decreased due to the formation of the states of Haryana and Himachal pradesh.
